Mary Ann Schumpert, 81, wife of Roy Schumpert, Sr., passed away on May 14, 2022.

A native of Portugal, Mrs. Schumpert was a daughter of the late Edward and Georgina Jardin Smith.

Mary was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

In addition to her husband of 49 years, left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Sheree Cole and her husband Tom; two sons, Roy Schumpert, Jr. and his wife, Janet, Michael D. Uenking and his wife, Rebecca; four grandchildren, Erin Schumpert, Mary Asheigh Uenking, Matthew Uenking, and Clint Schumpert; and her sister, Peggy Smith.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Maureen Hansen, and her brother, Edward Smith, Jr.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Southeast. The family will greet guests following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
