Mutsuko N. Madden, 92, beloved wife of the late Capers Madden, passed away Saturday, June 4, 2022.
Born in Kyushu, Japan but relocated to the United States at an early age making her home in Greenville, South Carolina.
Mutsuko was an avid Atlanta Braves fan, she enjoyed cheering her team to victory each year, relishing every win. She had many loves and interest among them was playing cards and going out to eat. If you knew Mutsuko, you loved her; she had a sweet loving nature with a stubborn side that you admired. She was a woman of strong conviction and beliefs with a heart of gold, always willing to give what she had to help others. Mutsuko took delight in laughing and joking, her laughter and smile were contagious making you want to be in her presence. She will be forever missed by those she leaves behind, but her legacy of love and laughter will carry on through each of them.
She is survived by sons, Jeffery Madden (Teresa), Johnny Madden (Nancy) and Marty Madden(Lynn); daughters, Miyoshi Wright (Tim) and Shelia Madden; grandchildren, Michelle Burns (Tim), Lance Madden, Natasha Butterfield (Joel), Kera Hart (Brad), Reno Madden (Kaitlyn), and Cody Madden (Casey); fifteen great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and close family friend, Steve O’Shields.
In addition to her loving husband, she was preceded in death by son, Mike Madden.
A memorial service will held Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at Westwood Baptist Church, Easley, SC. A private burial will be held at a later date. A private burial will be held at a later date.
