David Eugene Rogers, Sr., 86, beloved husband of 63 years to Agnes Thompson Rogers, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, October 28, 2022, at the Richard M Campbell Veterans Nursing Home.

Born and raised in Pelzer, SC he was the son of the late Shuman and Ruth Dowis Rogers.

He served in the United States Air Force where he received an Honorable Discharge in February 1961. He retired from J.P. Stevens – Dunean Plant, Greenville, SC, after 42 years of service. David was a loyal and active member of Tremont Church of God, Greenville, SC

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, David Jr. (Kelley) of Easley, Timothy (Kathy) of Easley, Tommy (Jill) of Havre De Grace, Maryland and Terry (Angel) Fountain Inn. Eleven grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren, with a new addition due in February 2023. He is also survived by one brother, William Rogers of Greer & brother-in-law Bill Wyatt of Greenville.

He was predeceased by seven sisters, Helen R. Sides, Carolyn R. King, Alice R. Holloway, Edna R. Wyatt, Bobbie R. Moore, Dorothy R. Hudson, Patricia R. Thomas; and brother John Shuman Rogers.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 12:30 pm until 2:15 pm at Tremont Church of God, 2854 New Easley Hwy. Greenville, SC 29611 followed by the funeral service at 2:30 pm. Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery West, 4814 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in David’s memory to Tremont Church of God, 2854 New Easley Hwy., Greenville, SC 29611 or Faith Renewed Church, 505 S Main St., Mauldin, SC 29662
