Russell,

So sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. His Christian testimony is I'm sure a comfort for you and the family. The tribute video was very touching. May the Lord give you grace at this time and in the days to come.

Cindy and Family,  I am so sorry for your loss and know Dave will be missed.  I have known him all my life having grown up on the same street (Agnew Road) with him and his family.  What wonderful memories I have with the times we were able to spend together. For now we will celebrate his life knowing he is in a better place and with the promise we will see him again.

Family,
David will surely be missed.  You are in our thoughts and prayers.
Pete Wright left a message on March 3, 2019:
David probably never thought of himself as a leader, but that is what he was. His love of the Lord was evidenced by his desire to serve Him by serving others. When someone needed something done, there was David. A light bulb burned out or the grass needing to be mowed at church, there was David. When a member of our Sunday School class was sick and needed cheering up, there was David. He led by example. No doubt my life is richer for having known David Hickum and I am certainly going to miss him.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

Dave was the best neighbor you could ask for. Our impromptu conversations while walking my dog, or  when he stopped in the car to say hello and catch up were always welcome and filled with laughs. Just knowing Dave was close by was always a comfort. His sweet presence will be missed.
