Eric Nathaniel Burrell, 16, of Greenville, beloved son of Stacey and David Clogston, died July 4, 2011. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Michael Burrell, III of Greenville; maternal grandparents, Danny and Kathy Simmons of Greenville; paternal grandparents, Arthur Clogston of Gray Court, Marilyn Clogston of Greer, and Maxie and Harvey Phillips; his maternal great grandmother, Mary Frances Hufflin of Greenville; his aunts and uncles, Andrew Potter of Alabama, Danny and Machelle Simmons of Simpsonville, Sandy and Kenneth Gosnell of Travelers Rest, Tracy and Eric Ballew of Greer, and Kim Burrell of Simpsonville; seven cousins; a step-father, Rusty Potter; step-grandparents, Isabelle and Russell Potter of Alabama; and his biological father, Earl Michael Burrell, Jr. Eric was predeceased by his sister, Amber Courtney Clogston; and his cousin, Matthew Coley. Visitation will be 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. on Friday, July 8, 2011, at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, 2011, in the chapel of the funeral home, with burial following at Robinson Memorial Gardens. The family will be at the home of Danny Simmons, 207 Burdock Way, Simpsonville, SC.
