James Curtis Stepp

James Curtis "Jimmy" Stepp, 88, widower of Crystal Brookshire Stepp, died Monday, November 29, 2010 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville, he was the son of the late James Lotton and Octavia Marie Brookshire Stepp. Mr. Stepp was retired from Judson Plant and was a member of Mountain Creek Baptist Church and the Perserverers Sunday School class. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served during World War II and was wounded in Normandy. Surviving are two daughters, Janet Carvajal and Joyce Stepp both of Greenville; and two grandsons, Christopher and Michael Carvajal. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertie Dohun and Ruby Reid. Memorials may be made to Mountain Creek Baptist Church, 255 W. Mountain Creek Road, Greenville, SC 29609. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 2, 2010 from 11:45 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Mountain Creek Baptist Church with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. in the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
