Nikki Lynn Weeks, 58, beloved wife of Timothy Weeks, passed away on Thursday, January 20, 2022.

Born in Port Huron, MI, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Marilyn Elliott Hanchuck.

Nikki worked at Honeywell for 34 years and Proterra for 3 years where she was greatly cherished and appreciated by all she encountered. Nikki enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She loved being outside and doing outdoor sports with her husband Tim and son Josh. She cherished working as the president of her neighborhood HOA. Nikki could always find a good deal and adored going to flea markets with Tim. Annie was her beloved dog and friend. Nikki had a personality that is irreplaceable. She impacted many lives within work, family, and friends. She met no strangers and would give the shirt off her back. Nikki worked her entire life and was 8 days from her retirement. She and Tim had grand plans to travel the world and visit friends and family. One of her greatest joys was her son Josh. As a family, Tim, Nikki, and Josh were inseparable. Their strong bond will never be forgotten and forever missed. All of Nikki’s brothers in laws loved to joke and have a good time picking on each other. She could hold her own with all of them. Growing up, Nikki was attached to her older sister Pam. She enjoyed spending time with her other sisters Cindy and Sherry and made many memories as young siblings. Nikki was wonderful about keeping in contact with family and friends near and far even as distance divided them through the years. It goes without saying that Nikki will be missed by many.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by son, Joshua Weeks; siblings, Pam and Don Hooper, Cynthia Parker, Sherry and Frank Coussens; in-laws, Terry and Larry Crocker, Dorothy Holland, Buddy Weeks, Donna and Richard Moore, David and Debbie Weeks, Dennis Weeks, and Mike and Cheryl Weeks. Also surviving: 24 nieces and nephews, 37 great nieces and nephews, and 2 great, great nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held Tuesday, January 25, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.

The little waterslide. Then our vacation at the Beach & just hanging out playing games. Truly a great friend. “Goodbyes are not forever, are not the end; it simply means I’ll miss you until we meet again!”

Tim, We just heard about Nikki's passing and we were extremely shocked. We noticed all the cars by your house and figured it was a happy occasion. I was shocked to learn about my former co-worker at Honeywell Rocky Mount NC. She was a people person and although I never worked directly under her, I had much communication with her and Tim. I was shocked when they left us to move on to another location.

We remember Nikki very fondly. Her bubbly easygoing personality and her willingness to always go above and beyond was incredibly helpful during our transition with the hydraulic product line to Honeywell from FL to Rocky Mount, NC. Becoming friends with Nikki was extremely easy as lovable as she always was both on and off the job. We had the opportunity to spend time with both Nikki and Tim while off the job enjoying our mutual fondness of the NASCAR races. We hold these memories of Nikki near and dear to our hearts; she will be sadly missed.

Tim, My prayers are with you and Josh during this difficult time. I pray our God gives you peace and comfort through this journey.

I am so sad to hear of a great person taken too soon from this earth. Nikki was a great co-worker whom helped show me the ropes the "right way" . In the 6 years we directly worked together we became friends and shared the good with the bad that life ever offered. not matter what the difference in time since the last time we talked, it would always be like it was yesterday.... I am forever grateful for her friendship and will cherish it.

So many wonderful cherished memories with Nikki. She is such a Special Soul. My speed skating buddy and she was my Maid Of Honor in my wedding!!! She will always be in my Heart. Prayers for her family.

I worked with Nikki and Tim at Honeywell. Nikki had a wonderful personality. I’m also sure she limited the number of practical jokes Tim could play on me (thank goodness). Nikki was a beautiful person inside and out. Growing up with her sister Sherry, Nikki would tag along sometimes with us. I remember her love for animals. Always tough and ready to try anything. Nikki and I shared the same birth date so I alway felt a special bond with her. My family and I pray for God’s blessings and peace on all of her family. Cherish each other!
