Mrs Sue, We wanted to send our condolences concerning Sam the Man!!! We so loved him and you both. Scott Davis called us to let us know. We were shocked to find out that God needed his engineer back home!! We love you and know we have a special place in our heart for one of the most awesome men to ever come into our lives. My brother John and I wish to send our thoughts and prayers to the Inman family. Mr. and Mrs. Inman were crucial to our church upbringing . Mr. Inman was a beloved and dear friend of our parents and a wonderful guide growing up. Our hearts hurt. Much love- John and Mary Bea Whisonant

Sam Inman, was my mother’s and father’s dear friend. He was as my father would often say about him “a worthy companion for the journey.”

My mentors John and Amy introduced me to Sam and Sue after I moved to Greenville. Sam and Sue were so kind and helpful to me in a place were I have no family. Sam shared tools and I believe even did some simple repairs for me. Sue and Sam had some great recommendations for food and entertainment. I enjoyed seeing Sam around town, always with a smile. We were able to share a handful or two of meals and stories before his passing. I am thankful for him and send love and peace to Sue and the rest of the Inman family.

Sam was a remarkable and gracious man whose boyhood memories of Wildacres are a cherished part of Wildacres lore. He will be greatly missed by his Wildacres family. Sending comfort to Sue, their children and spouses, and their grandchildren.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I am aggrieved to learn of Sam’s passing. I met him years ago at Wildacres Retreat and deeply enjoyed his boyhood memories of that fabled mountain. He had a noble soul and "can do" capabilities. Sam and Sue made a shining couple. God bless Sam and bring solace to dear Sue.

It is sad to learn about Sam's death. I worked with Sam for many years at what is now Mitsubishi Polyester Film in Greer. Sam was a very talented person who had broad and deep knowledge about the polyester film industry and he was very supportive of his coworkers. Sam was very supportive of me over the decades as we introduced new products and processes into manufacturing and the marketplace. Sam would always have your back! Sam was always a good and honest person who you could rely on. It was an honor to work with Sam all those years. Sam will be missed. May he rest in peace. John Heberger

We were so lucky and blessed to know Sam. Smart but down to earth, he embodied excellence yet was never anything other than kind and thoughtful. We will miss him at Westminster and in the community but his spirit will live on.

I was lucky enough to meet Sam through his granddaughter, Rachel, and to share several special occasions with him and the rest of the Inman family. I loved hearing about his travels in Japan and it was clear how much he valued spending time in the Georgia woods (and with his wife Sue). He will be missed and remembered fondly by his family, I know, but also by people beyond that circle, whose lives he touched along the way. I send my condolences (and hugs) from New York.
