Mary Lou Menghini, 92, of Simpsonville, died Friday, April 2, 2021.
Born in Frontenac, KS, she was the daughter of the late Walter Hoyt and Carolina “Lena” Frances Rubel Mahanes.
Mary was a graduate of Arma High School in Kansas and worked as a legal secretary in Pittsburg and Wichita, KS. She was a 40-year resident of Reynoldsburg, OH and retired from the law firm of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease of Columbus, OH after 22 years of service. She moved to Simpsonville in 1999 and was a member of St. Mary Magdalene catholic Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Paula Kayse (Michael) of Greenville, and Marsha Wollenberg (Ronald) of Meadow Vista, CA; daughter-in-law, Debbie Menghini; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
She was married in 1954 to the late Elmer R. Menghini. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter J Mahanes; and son, Bruce E. Menghini.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. All attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.
