I feel after working with Sandy that I knew the entire family. Don always made her lunch and she always offered to share. You would never EVER think to say anything against her football team— or you would learn your place. Her humor got us through days when she kept me in line seeing the patients we served. She was always bragging and very proud of her children, their spouses and frand children. I will deeply miss her. Laurie Cantrell

John Weems left a message on October 29, 2021:
Sandi radiated joy and spread that to her patients and colleagues. Her dedication to her patients, often those without much other support in their lives, was an inspiration. She and Donald were energetic, obviously in love, and were far more youthful than their age. A life could not have been better lived.

Sandy was my colleague and friend. She was -simply-the best. Our patients loved her and she gave them respect, honesty, and love in return. She always turned my bad days into fun days. She taught me how to embrace life in all of its messiness and beauty. She brought joy into others lives just by being Sandy. My sincere condolences to all of her family-she talked about all of you daily and was so proud of your accomplishments. There will never be another…but I can hear her say “Well, honey, we just have to keep moving on”.
Roshni Patel left a message on October 29, 2021:
Sandy...someone said recently that they broke the mold after they made you...and I absolutely believe they did! There never was, and never will be anyone quite like you. You were always nurturing to us NPs and MDs, treated us like family. I will never forget you, your wit, your "take no non-sense" attitude! My favorite memory of you, was watching you unpack the lunch Donald had so lovingly packed for you. You were always grateful to him, even though you complained "he always packs my lunch like I'm going to starve!" I love you Sandy, thank you for being you, and teaching us rookies (young ones as you sometimes called us) some very important life lessons. Praying for rest and peace, we all know it's too much to ask you to slow down, even up there!
