Agnes Lorene Clardy Porter

Agnes Lorene Clardy Porter, 76, of Magnolia Manor, Greenville died Saturday, November 24, 2007, at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late William Perry and Mary Dickard Clardy and widow of Leroy Porter. Prior to her retirement, she was a weaver in the textile industry for 20 years and a pet groomer. She was a member of Cherrydale Church and former member of Powdersville First Baptist Church. Surviving are two nieces, Donitta Batson of Taylors and Deb Jolly of Greenville; one nephew, Robert Batson and wife Kathy of Greenville; two great-nieces, Angel DeMore of Anderson and Kim Chasteen of Greenville; and one great-great-niece, Ella Kate Chasteen of Greenville. Mrs. Porter was preceded in death by two sisters, Leona Clardy Pierce and Mildred Clardy Batson. Visitation will be held Monday from 2:30 pm until 3:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will follow at 4:00 pm in Graceland West. The family is at their respective homes.
