Alfred A Gabala

February 16, 1935 - December 3, 2006
Alfred A. Gabala, Sr., 71, of 100 Lowndes Hill Road, widower of Mary Helen Justice Gabala, died Sunday, December 3, 2006 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Lake County, IL., he was the son of the late Andrew and Anna Gabala. Mr. Gabala was retired from Sears and was a member of East Park Baptist Church. He was a United States Air Force Veteran. Surviving are a daughter, Mary H. Gabala of Greenville; three sons, Rick A. Gabala of Fredrick, MD., Russell A. Gabala and his wife Carol of Montpelier, VA., Alfred A. Gabala, Jr. and his wife Amy of Rockville, MD.; two sisters, Esther Plucker of Rockford, IL., Patricia Dornbusch of Lake Bluff, IL.; and four grandchildren, Kaylen, Andrew James, Allison, and Austin Gabala. He was preceded in death by a sister, Laura Lie Dornbusch. Memorials may be made to East Park Baptist Church, 12 Ebaugh Avenue, Greenville, SC 29607. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 06, 2006 from 7:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 07, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. at East Park Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes.
