Alice “Nancy” Willis Cole, 77, of Marietta, died Saturday, November 5, 2022.

Born in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Dudley and Mary O’Dillion Willis.

Nancy was known as a hard working woman who adored her grandchildren. She was the caregiver of her family, including her mother, two brothers, and her two aunts, all while working full time. She was the best mama, nana, and great-grandmother that ever existed.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Floyd (George) and Joann Day (Larry); granddaughter, Ashley Monroe (David Barnes); grandson, Bo Gainey (Hanna); great-grandchildren, Aly White, Alex Jepsen, Rosie Gainey and Lilah Gainey; nephew, Aaron Willis; best friends, Nancy Moore, Patti Morgan, and Lisa Moore.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Donnie Willis, Bobby Joe Willis, Larry Melton Willis, Gary Willis; many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery West .
