Allene Ruth Anderson

Allene Ruth Peterson Anderson, 90, devoted wife of the late Waddy McFall Anderson, Jr., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, November 26, 2022.

Born in Sanborn, IA, she was the daughter of the late Everett “Wendy” and Ruth Peterson.

Allene was known to have a heart of gold and loved her family with all she had. She loved music, playing games, and traveling.

Her legacy will continue on in the hearts of her children, Waddy “Andy” M. Anderson, III and wife, June, Charles E. Anderson, Margaret Lucretia A. Tackman, and John F. Anderson and wife, Judy; ten precious grandchildren, Amy Anderson, Laura-Wright Anderson, Presley Singleton, Brandon Wade Anderson (Vik Arora), Colin Christopher Anderson (Gail), Caroline Hartley (Kurt), Waddy McFall Anderson IV, Anna Anderson Goldston (Michael), Emily Kelly (Rob), and Elizabeth Anderson Warlick (Josh); several adoring great grandchildren and other loving family members; including her beloved caregiver, Ernestine Fair.

In addition to her parents and loving husband, she was reunited in Heaven by her son, Walter Going Anderson.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, December 7, 2022, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will take place in the family plot in Springwood Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her home church, Covenant Presbyterian Church, 13601 W. Aleppo Dr. Sun City West, AZ, 85375.
