Alline Gosness Cannon

July 10, 1921 - January 29, 2008
Alline Gosnell Cannon, 87, widow of LeRoy Cannon, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008 at Riverside Living Center. Born in the Paris Community of Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late William Oscar and Ann Mason Gosnell. Mrs. Cannon was a homemaker and a member of Greenville Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church. Surviving are a sister, Nadene Ladd of Uncasville, CT; a granddaughter and her husband, Tina R. and Jon Morgan of Mauldin; a grandson and his wife, Bradley E. and Missy Wooten of Simpsonville; great granddaughter, Morgan T Morgan; step great granddaughter, Brandie Ables and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Broadus E. "Gene" Wooten, granddaughter, Tammy Lee Wooten, two sisters and three brothers. In lieu of flowers, take someone you love out to lunch. The service will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum with the Reverend Robert Griswold officiating. The body will lie in state from Thursday afternoon until Saturday morning at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will be at the home of Nancy Wooten-Gray, 106 Claiborne Road, Piedmont, SC 29673.
