Alma Guthrie Barbery

Alma Pearl Guthrie Barbery, 91, widow of W. W. Barbery, died Sunday April 13, 2008. Born in Greenville County, she was the daughter of the late James Pharis and Modine Deloris Grant Guthrie. Mrs. Barbery was a member of Marietta Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving are two daughters, Joyce York, Bobbie Guthrie; a son, Clarence Helton; 15 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 25 great-great-grand-children. Funeral service will be at 1:30 pm, Tuesday, April 15, 2008 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel with burial in Greenville Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 6-7:30 pm, Monday, April 14, 2008 at the funeral home. The family will be at 345 Shelton Road, Travelers Rest.
