Anita G. Hutchins

Anita G. Hutchins, 81, of 12 Virginia Avenue, Greenville, died June 4, 2004. Born in Pickens, she was the widow of Samuel Harper Hutchins and the daughter of Oscar Benjamin Greer and Annie Mildred Thomas Greer. Ms. Hutchins was the Valedictorian of her graduating class at Tamassee DAR in 1942 and received her B.S. Degree from Central Wesleyan University at the age of 70. She was retired as a Public Accountant and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. She is survived by five daughters, Ann Pearman of Anderson, Faye Walters of Greenville, Anita Odom of Easley, GiGi Bunch of Easley, and Bonnie Stephens of Franklin, TN; one son, Sam Hutchins of Greenville; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and one sister, Fay Curtis of Charlotte, NC In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tamassee DAR School, P.O. Box 8, Tamassee, SC 29686. Visitation will be held from 4:00 ? 6:00 pm on Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Monday at Christ United Methodist Church with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will be at the residence.
