Ann Long Burress, 80, of 9 East Mountain View Avenue, widow of Louis M. Burress, died February 23, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Anderson County, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Zoa Foster Long. Mrs. Burress was retired after 27 years of service from Greenville County as an Assistant Clerk of Court and was a member of Northgate Baptist Church. Surviving are a daughter, Rebecca ?Becky? B. Irwin of Greenville; a son, L. Russell ?Rusty? Burress of Alexandria, VA.; two grandsons, Jay Louis Irwin of New York City, Lawrence Russell ?Russ? Irwin of Greenville; a sister, Evelyn Long Bradey of Greenville; two brothers, John Hovey Long of Spartanburg, Henry Ray Long of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 310-B Bennett Center Drive, Greer, SC 29650 or to the charity of one?s choice. Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, February 25, 2006 at 1:30 PM at Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held prior to the services from 11:30 until 1:00 PM at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will be at the home.
