Anna B McConnell

Anna B. McConnell, 81, of 4 Stadium Drive, widow of Harold E. ?Mac? McConnell, died Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Regency Hospital. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late P.D. and Ethel Turner Cannada. Mrs. McConnell was a graduate of Welcome High School and Mars Hill Junior College. She formerly worked for Stone Manufacturing and retired from CNCB Mortgage and was a member of Piedmont Park Baptist Church. She enjoyed cooking and sewing and using her talents to encourage both family and friends. She always took great interest in communicating among her family members. Surviving are her step children, Admiral John M. McConnell of Washington DC., Dr. Timothy I. McConnell of Summerville, Joe Nick McConnell of Greenville and Deborah Meetze of Greenville; three sisters, Gladys Vernon of Travelers Rest, Helen Harris of Greenville and Mary Caskie of Buffalo, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dalma Jean Anger. Memorials may be made to the charity of one?s choice. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 3, 2007 at 5:00 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, with visitation to follow. The family will be at the respective homes.
