Anna B Stathos

Anna B. Stathos, a resident of Laurel Baye Nursing Facility, died Sunday, March 4, 2007. She was 100 years old. Born in Kythnos, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Garifalia Bofilious and widow of the late Dimitri Jimmy Stathos. Mrs. Stathos was a life long member of St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral, and was very active in the Ladies Philoptochos Society. Surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Evangeline Lachanos, Maria Alafouzou, and Irene Bofilious and one brother, John Bofilious. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown, Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7 p.m. Funeral Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral Wednesday at 11 a.m with burial at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
