Arthur Alvis Tripp, Jr., 81, of Mauldin died Saturday, April 29, 2006 at Hillcrest Hospital. Born in Ware Place, SC, he was the son of the late Arthur Alvis Tripp, Sr. and Emma Tumblin Tripp. He served his country in the US Army during WWII. Mr. Tripp retired after 15 years of service from Sitton Buick as an automobile tech. He was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Mildred Smith Tripp; daughter, Deborah Tripp Vaughn and husband Carroll of Simpsonville; two sons, Timothy A. Tripp and wife Fay of Easley and Roger D. Tripp of Mauldin; and grandson, Randy Vaughn. Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 Noon at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown Chapel. Visitation will be held prior to services from 10:30-11:45am. Interment to follow in Greenville Memorial Gardens.
