Axel Jyier Maradiaga Garcia, a vibrant and joyful 5-year-old boy, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023.
Born on June 30, 2017, to Yimi Jimenez and Kristen Garcia Jimenez, Axel was a beloved son, a loving brother, and a cherished member of his community.
Axel was a kindergartner at Concrete Primary in Easley, where he had already made an impact on his classmates and teachers. Despite his tender age, Axel had a deep love for the Lord, and his faith shone brightly in his daily life.
One of Axel’s most remarkable traits was his loving and kind nature. He had a beautiful smile that would light up a room and a giggle that was infectious to everyone around him. Axel’s laughter was truly contagious, bringing joy and happiness to all those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Axel had a special bond with his family, especially his mother. Every day after school, he would pick a flower and, with his heart full of love, get down on one knee to present it to his mom and other family members. He had an immense capacity for affection and demonstrated it through simple yet profound gestures.
In addition to his family, Axel shared a deep bond with his fur baby, Coco, a beloved dog who brought him endless joy and companionship. They would often embark on adventures together, creating cherished memories that will forever be treasured.
Axel had a zest for life and enjoyed simple pleasures like riding his tricycle and playing with his Bumblebee Transformer and Switch Games. His favorite movie was “Toy Story,” and he would immerse himself in the magical world of Woody, Buzz, and their friends.
Axel’s presence in the lives of those around him was immeasurable. He was deeply loved and brought immense happiness to his family and friends. His passing leaves a void that can never be filled, and he will be profoundly missed by all who knew him.
Axel will forever remain in our hearts, a shining example of love, kindness, and the pure joy that comes from a child’s spirit. May his beautiful soul find eternal peace, and may his memory continue to inspire us to cherish the precious moments we share with our loved ones.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by brother, Jonathan Garcia; grandmother, Marie Hankinson Bautista (Fransico); great-grandmother, Maria De La Santos; aunt, Anna Cedeno (Yovanni Cruz); uncles, Rocky Perez, Malachi, Kevin, and Alex Bautista, Christian Figueora, Leonardo Figueora, and Jari Maradiaga; and numerous loving cousins.
