Barbara “Bobbie” Allison Pollard, 86, wife of the late Joe Milton Pollard, peacefully passed away on Monday, March 4, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Newberry, SC on April 19, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Evelyn Frick Allison.
Bobbie graduated from Greenville High School and then attended Nursing School. During her career, she worked for Sears, Liberty Life, and Lowes. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, playing piano, and preparing meals at church on Wednesday nights. Bobbie enjoyed walking on the beach and loved working in her garden and spending time with her family.
Her memory will be cherished by her loving daughters, Roberta Pollard Reynolds (Bill) of Abbeville, Evelyn Pollard Gillespie of Cary, NC, and Sandra Pollard Johnson of Simpsonville; and nine adoring grandchildren, Tori Turner (Gray), Lauren Behrendt (Kyle), Will Reynolds, Zach Gillespie (Montana), Courtney Silva (Nik), Emily Crenshaw (Lucas), Brandon Johnson (Jacque), Derek Johnson (Tiffany), and Allison Johnson. Bobbie was also truly blessed with nine great-grandchildren, Henry and Mills Turner, Hayes and James Behrendt, Braxton and Gage Silva, Wade Crenshaw, and Aleyna and Joseph Johnson. She will also be missed by her brothers, Jack Allison, Jr. (Sara) and Richard Allison (Renee); several nieces and nephews; and her furry companions, Moe, Hilton, and Bruce.
In addition to her husband and parents, Bobbie was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Don Gillespie.
The family will hold a private service to honor Bobbie’s rich life.
