Barbara E. Gardner, 64, of 43 Aeronca Road, Belton, died Saturday, February 17, 2007. Born in Georgetown, SC, she was a daughter of the late Ellis and Rhoda Moyd Jones, and the wife of George ?Clifton? Gardner. She was a shining example to all of what a Christian should be. She was a wife, mother and friend, and was caring and generous to all she met. We will miss her dearly! Mrs. Gardner was a member of Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Barbara Sullivan and her husband, Bruce, of Greenville; a son, George Gardner and his wife, Janie, of Denver CO; three sisters, Shirley Mercer and her husband, Donald, of Georgetown, Rhoda Mae Freeman, of Georgetown, and Peggy Pollard, of Mobile, AL; a brother, Ellis K. Jones and his wife, Chris, of Georgetown, and four grandchildren, Zachary and Alyssa Sullivan, Scott Gardner and Lydia Goodland. She was predeceased by a daughter, Angela Gardner and a son, Danny Gardner. The funeral will be at 1:30 pm Monday at Carolina Heights Church of God of Prophecy, 2900 Anderson Road. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8:00 pm Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park. The family is at the residence.
