Barnette Blackwell Davis

Barnette Blackwell Davis, 89, of 1400 West Wellington Drive, Deltona, FL., husband of Jeannette Koon Davis, died Tuesday, August 1, 2006 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in Abbeville County, he was the son of the late Claude Wesley and Jeny Vieve Blackwell Davis. Mr. Davis was retired from Mackle Brothers Deltona Corporation and was a member of First Baptist Church, Ware Shoals. He was a United States Navy Veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two sisters, Berneice Davis Ezell of Greenwood, SC. and Molly Davis Bagwell of Greenville, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Frances Bishop, Belle Brashier, and Polly Stallcup; and three brothers, Jerry, Alfred, and Benton Davis. Memorials may be made to the Connie Maxwell Children?s Home, P.O. Box 1178, Greenwood, SC 29648. A memorial service will be conducted Friday, August 4, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. The family will be at the home of his sister, Molly Bagwell, 512 Falling Rock Way, Greenville, SC 29615.
