Beatrice “Chris” Christopher Bowden

Beatrice Christopher “Chris” Bowden was called to her Lord on April 3, 2021.

Chris was born November 19, 1919, the daughter of the late Charles David Christopher and Geneva Reid Christopher.

Mrs. Bowden was a long time member of First Baptist Church of Greenville and a member of the Seminar-Corder Class. She retired from Her Majesty Industries as an Officer and Director.

Chris is survived by three children and their spouses, Mary Ellen Forestal (Ed); Charles Thomas “Tom” Simon (Almena) and William Christopher “Bill” Simon, Sr. (Eleanor); three step-children Susan Bowden, Lynn Parnell (Chuck) and Scott Bowden (Bonnie); eight grandchildren; and fifteen great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her late husband, Perry Stanley Bowden; two brothers; three sisters; and a grandchild.

The family has much gratitude for the loving care that Carrie Evans, Sandra McBee, and Jackie Miller gave our Nanna in her last years, as well as Interim Hospice and Meals on Wheels.

A graveside service will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. All attendees are strongly encouraged to wear masks and follow CDC guidelines on social distancing.

The family will receive friends following the service at 66 Lake Forest Dr., Greenville, SC.
