Beatrice Evlyn Rice, 88, wife of the late Stanley Rice, Jr., died Tuesday July 20, 2021.

Born in Ware, MA, she was the daughter of the late George and Inez Goodwin Laflin.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Rice (Mark Rodeffer) and Greg Rice (April); two daughters, Debra Lagrant (Karl) and Diane Quink (Michael); 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Chickering.

She was preceded in death by one son, Mark Rice; and one brother, Albert George Laflin.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. in the Southeast Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to www.amfar.org in memory of her son, Mark Rice.

To the family of my dear friend, Bea I am sorry to read that your Mom has died When I last spoke with her on the phone she shared about her fall and moving to the nursing home She said she wished she could live elsewhere. Our friendship goes back to school in North Brookfield and girl scouts and being neighbors on School Street. I was in her wedding party when she and Stan got married. We shared through the years with our lives, families and moves. My sympathy and love to Bea's family. Sincerely, Renee
