Betty Ann Creasy

Betty Ann Creasy, 77, of 302 Robin Hood Road, widow of Guy Creasy, Jr., died on Friday, June 9, 2006, after a sudden illness. She was deeply loved by her family and was ?the best mother her children ever had?. She had a wonderful sense of humor, loved to laugh, had a beautiful smile and a very caring heart. She loved animals and was a sweet Meemaw to her grand-cats, grand-birds, and grand-dogs. Betty Ann was born on May 5, 1929, daughter of the late Branch Joshua and Eunice Olivia Kay Howard. She lived most of her life as a resident of Greenville and also for a short period in Georgia and Florida. She is survived by eight children, Lester Earl ?Skip? McGilvery and his wife Cristyn of Greenville, Guy Creasy, III and his wife Beth of Greenville, Mary Janice Craft of Easley, Jack William Creasy and his wife Dianne of Simpsonville, Eunice Kay Bailey and her husband Eddie of Evans, GA., Benjamin Travis Creasy and his wife Tammie of Mauldin, Harry J. Creasy and his wife Trudy of Taylors, George C. Creasy and his wife Andrea of Gray Court; two sisters, Mary Alice Lockaby and Sarah L. Alexander; one brother, Frank F. Howard; nineteen grandchildren, Jackie McGilvery, Dawn McGilvery, Kenneth McGilvery, Kaylan McGilvery, Michael McGilvery, Jeff Creasy, Mike Creasy, Ben Creasy, Amber Creasy, Chasity Creasy, Morgan Creasy, Nikolaei Creasy, Alex Creasy, Emma Creasy, Tommy Craft, Leigh Ann Craft, Christie Jenkins, Gary Stierwalt, Chrissy Stierwalt; and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy ?Dot? Howard Finchum; a brother, Billy Hill Howard; and a grandson, Jimmy McGilvery. Memorials may be made to Laurel Baptist Church, 2331 Laurens Road, Greenville, SC 29607. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 11, 2006 from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Graveside services will be conducted Monday, June 12, 2006 at 12:00 noon at Laurel Baptist Church Cemetery.
