Betty Floyd Brown, 80, of Greenville died Saturday, August 18, 2007 at Greenville Memorial Medical Center. Born in Orangeburg County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Medra Sweet Floyd and widow of Garrett Reeves Brown. Mrs. Brown was a graduate of Parker High School and member of Buncombe Road Baptist Church. Prior to her retirement, she was a dental lab technician with Dr. Wells, Mitchell and Hewitt. Surviving are son, Russell Brown and his wife Debra of Greenville; sister, Joyce Floyd Brown of Greenville; three brothers, Ted Floyd of Columbia, Ned Floyd of Greenville, and Tom Floyd of Orlando, Fla.; grandson, Reed Brown; and great-grandson, Tristen Billups. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Elizabeth Sheriff and Irene Floyd. Funeral Services will be held Monday at noon in the Downtown Chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home with visitation prior from 10:30 am until 11:45 am. Interment to follow services in Woodlawn Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Buncombe Road Baptist Church, 11 Courtney Circle, Greenville, SC 29617. The family is at the home of Russell and Debra Brown.
