Betty Kitchens Chafin

Betty Kitchens Chafin, 60, of Greenville, died Sunday, October, 15, 2006. Born in Joanna, she was the daughter of the late Jim Kitchens and Fannie Ruth Holt Kitchens and the wife of the late Joseph Norman Chafin, Sr. Mrs. Chafin was a former employee of JP Stevens Estes Plant and a member of Bible Christian Outreach. Surviving are four daughters, Torena Tripp of Piedmont; Donna Hanson, of Simpsonville; Eva Chafin, Brandi Jenkins, both of Piedmont; three sons, Wesley Johnson, of Union; Ervin Chafin, Joe Joe Chafin, Jr., both of Greenville; a sister Mary Jane Kitchens, a brother, Warren Kitchens, and eight grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home Northwest, Thursday, from 7:00-8:30 pm. Funeral services will be held at the Northwest Chapel Friday, at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton. Memorials may be made to the Bible Christian Outreach, 7788 Augusta Rd., Piedmont, SC 29673. The family will be at 104 Wilson Place Ct.
