Betty Lou Parker

Betty Lou Aiken Parker, 78, died Sunday, December 14, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin and Bessie Smith Aiken, and the widow of Jack W. Parker. She was a member of City View First Baptist Church. Mrs. Parker worked as office manager for Shedd Food Products. She was a graduate of Parker High School, Class of 1947. Surviving are a daughter, Janet Cox, of the home; two grandsons, Adrian Cox and his wife Shannon, and Matthew Cox and his wife Angela, all of Powdersville; a niece, Lonita Jones; a great niece, Dena Garrett, and a great-great niece, Anna Garrett. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a brother, Charles Aiken, and a sister, Gladys Hamby. The graveside service will be held Tuesday, December 16, 2008, at 12 noon at Graceland Cemetery, West. The family is at the home of niece, Lonita Jones, 100 Pacolet Trail, Piedmont.
