Betty Solesbee West

Betty Solesbee West, 75, of Brighton Gardens, formerly of Waterloo, SC, died Friday, January 13, 2006. Born in Greenville, Mrs. West was the daughter of the late Luke J. and Alma Goodwin Solesbee. She was retired from Emerald Center in Greenwood, SC, where she was the Resident Manager and supervisor of the Pritchard Residence. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church, Seneca, SC and attended Waterloo Baptist Church. She loved her life on Lake Greenwood and was devoted to her family. Mrs. West is survived by a son, Jerry J. West and his wife, Jane, of Pelham, AL; a daughter, Pamela W. Reece and her husband, Jerry, of Waterloo, SC; two brothers, Luke J. Solesbee, Jr., of Mauldin, SC, and Joe B. Solesbee of Greenville, SC; and five grandchildren, Gerald, Matt and Jason Reece, and Janelle and Joyanne West. She was predeceased by a brother, H. Jack Solesbee. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 16, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held from 12:00 ? 1:15 p.m. Monday prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rosemont Cemetery, Clinton, SC. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer?s Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633. The family will be at the home of a special niece, Jean Solesbee Carter, 34 Club Forest Lane, Chanticleer, Greenville, SC.
