Bill Almond Barfield, 80, of Pendleton, SC, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, December 2, 2021.
Born in Elberton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Rufus and Opal Barfield.
Bill retired as a supervisor, from plant operations at GHS Memorial Hospital. He spent his retirement years traveling throughout the country in his RV, restoring classic cars, like his 1956 Pontiac Star Chief Catalina, and working in his woodworking shop. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 59 years, Sara Elizabeth Barfield; his son, Gregg (Michele) Barfield; his brothers, Larry (Dianne) Barfield, Paul (Linda) Barfield; his sister, Anne Brown; his sisters-in-law, Wilma (Gene) Gosnell, Mary (Jimmy) Drake; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may pay their respects and sign the Guest Register book on Monday, December 6, 2021, between the hours of 12:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 11:00 am at Graceland Cemetery West.
