Billy Curtis Jones, Sr., 74, of 18 Harbor Drive, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at Hospice House of the Upstate, Anderson. A native of Greenville, he was a son of the late William Claude and Mary Helen Osteen Jones. Mr. Jones was a member of Park Place Baptist Church and the Winsome Sunday School Class. He served in the U.S. Navy. Surviving are two daughters, Joni Cook of Pompano Beach, FL, and Sherry Jones and companion, Carla A. Pethel, of Mooresville, N.C.; a son, Billy C. Jones, II, and wife Rene of Easley; a son-in-law, Barry Cook of Pompano Beach, FL; a granddaughter, Taylor Jones, ?my angel?; five sisters, Martha Vermillion and Donna Skelton, both of Greenville, Juanita Garrett of Charleston, Lorene Peterson and Sandra Loftis, both of Travelers Rest; and three brothers, Virgil Jones of Travelers Rest, Tom Jones and Wendell Jones of Greenville. He was predeceased by two brothers, Hoyle and Elim Jones. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest. Funeral services will be Monday in the funeral home chapel at 10:30 a.m., with burial in Coleman Cemetery, Travelers Rest. The family will be at the home of his son, 315 Goldenbranch Drive, Easley. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, S.C. 29621.
