Birgitta Elisabet Reynolds, 85, of Greenville, wife of the late Gerald F. Reynolds, died Sunday, April 14, 2024.

Born in Uppsala, Sweden, she was the daughter of the late Henrick and Maja Andersson.

Birgitta was known as a loving and generous woman. Her hobby was her family and she was much loved by them. Birgitta will be greatly missed by those who knew her.

She is survived by her son, Owen F. Reynolds (Kelly Durham Reynolds); daughter, Elisabet E. Reynolds Rainey (F. Dean Rainey, III); son-in-law, Michael T. Parker; and granddaughter, Emma Frances Parker.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Christina Maria Reynolds Parker.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 20, 2024 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Downtown.

I worked with Birgitta, My time with her was less than a year over 35 years ago. She was so vivacious caring and fun that I still remember clearly what a bright light she brought to my work days. I am sorry for the the loss of such an amazing person. May your lifetime of such memories be able to bring you comfort.
