Bobbi Hooper Greenwood, 88, of 113 River Oaks Drive, Greenville, passed away on Thursday, November 19, 2020, at St. Francis Hospital Downtown.

Born in Greenville, she was the oldest of five daughters and a son of the late Ben H. Hooper, Sr., and Tweeter Hembree Hooper. A graduate of Parker High School, she spent thirty-eight years as a Pastor's Secretary and Administrative Assistant at Washington Avenue Baptist Church, three years at Edwards Road Baptist Church, and most recently was employed by Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes until her retirement.

She enjoyed volunteer opportunities with Rock Springs Baptist Church Choir, St. Francis Hospital, Downtown, and Interim Hospice of Spartanburg, and a member of the Senior Citizens Plus Travel Club.

Bobbi is survived by a stepson, Eddie Greenwood, III. (Lillie); two grandsons, Edward Greenwood, IV. (Katie) and Eric Greenwood (Edie); two great grandchildren, Charlotte and Ellis; two sisters, Sue Dickerson (Paul) of Piedmont, and Evelyn Radcliffe, of Myrtle Beach; a brother, Benny Hooper (Joy), of Goose Creek; brother-in-law, Charles Kelly, of Fountain Inn; sister-in-law, Lilliteen Greenwood, of Greenville;a two special adopted children, Susan Holcombe (Joe), of Easley and Dr. Emmanuel KeKu, of Nigeria, W. Africa, now living in Brandon, MS.; and many loving and special nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Greenwood; sisters, Janet Wike and Frankie Kelly, and two brothers-in-law, Don Wike and Roger Radcliffe.

A private Memorial Service will be held on Monday, November 23, 2020, at 10:30 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest Chapel.

Memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church, Building Fund, 201 Rock Springs Rd, Easley, SC 29642.

Sue, we are so sorry for your loss. May God comfort your heart as you grieve for your lovely sister. May precious memories fill your heart with peace.

She was a wonderful person as well as an Aunt. She is going to be missed! I will always cherish the memories that I have.

My thoughts and prayers to the family. Miss Bobbie was such a sweet sweet lady. Loved our talks before choir practice. She always had a big smile.

Bobbie was a lady of grace & elegance. I didn't know her personally - just acquaintances through choir at Rock Springs Baptist Church. But I always admired her from afar. She was always impeccably dressed with heals and long, beautiful, dangly earrings; and full of poise. Of course, the brightest thing she wore was her beautiful smile - always smiling.

There will never be another Ms Bobbi. I will always remember that big beautiful smile. I have known her for many years and she always remembered me no matter how long we were a part. Another part of WABC I will always treasure.

It saddened me very much to hear of Bobbi's death.. My deepest sympathy to all of the family. Bobbi was a very sweet & kind lady. I have fond memories of my childhood days playing with all my Hooper cousins. I admired Bobbi for standing up so straight & proud. She always had a big beautiful smile. Even when she wasn't feeling up to par, she always smiled. Having moved to Omaha as a young lady, so didn't see her often in later years, but when I did, I still found her as the same loving & caring lady. I will miss her . With love Becki

Bobbie was a very special friend. I always enjoyed our once a month breakfast at K & S. I have many sweet notes Bobbie would write to me. I will miss her smile and laugh, but I will see her again in Glory.

We appreciated the many notes from Bobbi over the years after joining Rock Springs and who could forget her beautiful smile. Mike remembers the chewing gum you always gave him when you were both at WABC and he thought you were so beautiful inside and out.

Bobbie is a beautiful memory to us. She is a beautiful example of God's love, and we will treasure the years we knew her.

I am so sorry. I loved her so much. I met her and sang with her at Rock Springs. I will miss our friendship so much: I will always cherish it. I am truly blessed to have had her in my life. Heaven is sweeter.

Ah so sweet such a kind and loving soul when I was 15 she and her husband would shop during the holidays at Kadh and Karry for either minced meat or fruit for fruit cakes she would always seek me out and share her big bright smile with me. Every Sunday at Washington Avenue she said a smile so beautiful and brilliant for not only me but all that were near.

Dear sweet Bobby we will miss you dearly. You were the best neighbor that a neighbor could have , you loved on my mom and dad the whole time y’all were together on river oaks drive. Your sweet heart will be missed.I know heaven has gained another angel.

Our precious friend for over 60 years. Bobbi shared our Lord with many through the years by her kindness, time, love, smile, cards, calls and faithfulness. We were so thankful to rejoin her as church family at Rock Springs after many years of separation from WABC. Times like this is what makes the sacrificial gift of eternal life from our precious Lord comforting. We know we will get to spend eternity with our sweet friend. Much love to all of her family.

So sorry to hear this she was the sweetest person. She was always so sweet and kind to everyone she came across. Bobbie was a very special lady I have known Bobbie since the Washington Ave days.I sat beside her in the Choir at Rock Springs and will miss her. She was truly a servant of God.

I had the absolute pleasure of being one of Bobbi's SS teachers at RSBC.. Bobbi lit up any and every room she entered. Her big beautiful smile came from her big beautiful heart. She left an everlasting imprint on my life and for that I will forever be grateful.. I will truly miss her presence here on earth, however will rejoice to see her again one day in heaven.

I worked with Bobbi at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home on weekends for several years. She was so kind and patient with me as a "new" employee. She taught me so much. She was a very sweet lady who obviously loved the Lord and her family, especially her mother. We heard many "Tweeter" stories. She spoke so often of her family -- she was very proud of all of you. I an praying for you all as you mourn her passing.

What wonderful memories of Bobbie and her family at WABC. She was a kind and loving lady. Her smile and loving attitude will be missed by many.

I will miss you Mrs. Bobbie. You were a sweet, sweet choir buddy at Rock Springs and that seat will always be yours. I will miss our Wednesday night talks.
