Brenda Gail Stone of Greenville, SC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 9, 2024, at the age of 78.
Brenda’s life was one of service; she truly had a servant’s heart. She loved pouring herself into her family, always making sure everyone had everything they needed and putting others above herself. Brenda always greeted everyone with a smile. She was a kind and caring friend to all. Outside of her home life, Brenda was employed by Greenville Technical College for over 20 years. Brenda was also a faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church for 32 years. Her faith in Jesus never faltered, and her life was a living testimony of His love.

Brenda is survived by her husband of 58 years, Frederick Euel Stone Sr., and her sons, Fredrick Euel Stone Jr. (Sabrina) and David Timothy Stone (Gwen). Her memory lives on through her cherished grandchildren, Adam, Shana (Bennie), Branden (Kayla), Chad, Alyssia (Matt), Tiffany (Justin), Sarah, and Elly (Chris). As well as her great-grandchildren, Makenna, Landon, Kaylee, Carter, Konner, Rowen, Nathaniel, Reagan, Chandler, Novaleigh, Kyler, and Blake. Brenda is also survived by her sisters, Carolyn McElroy, Patricia Howard, and Linda Chapman (Billy).
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Lee Looper; father, Samuel Looper; and sister, Rebecca Diane Hoffman.
A visitation will be held Friday, March 15, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at First Free Will Baptist Church, 242 Old Grove Rd., Greenville, SC 29605, with the funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be held in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, 14050 E. Wade Hampton Blvd, Greer, SC 29651, immediately after the funeral.
