Brenda Ballard, 71, of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022.

Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Sara Page Ballard.

Miss Ballard was a member of First Baptist Church Greenville and a proud graduate of Greenville Senior High School.

Brenda had a strong work ethic and served in several positions throughout her career. She worked for twenty years with Fluor Corporation; twelve years for Senator Ernest Hollings, eight of which were in Washington D.C.; four years for Congressman Robert Inglis and two years as a lab assistant at MUSC in Charleston. Brenda also loved crocheting and knitting special handmade items.

She is survived by her brother, Andrew Ballard (Judith); sister, Catherine Ann Ballard; two nieces, Amanda Clark (Jamison) and their three children, Caroline, Lillian and Christopher Clark and Ashley Williams (Jeff) and their two children Jackson and Jim William.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 22, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. followed by the funeral at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Greenville. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Park.

Cathy, again I want to tell you how sorry I am about Brenda. I know you'll miss her but I know you don't want her to suffer anymore. I would also like to say how much I appreciated what she did for Matt years ago. Since Brenda was working for Senator Hollings, she helped Matt with his passport and other things so he could go see Rolyn who was in Spain while they were at Furman. He was able to go within 2 weeks. That was a very nice thing for her to do. She will be missed. Love, Becky Rollins

Andy, Cathy and family - We are thinking about you as you mourn the loss of your sister, Brenda. There are so many great memories from our childhood days growing up together. My mom has been remembering the "old days" when we lived with your Mom and Dad while our house on Welcome Street was being built. Love and hugs from Sue (Bill) and Norma.

Sending sincere and heartfelt condolences and Love to Cathy, Andy, and her beloved nieces and their spouses and children. Brenda loved her family so much. Although she is now resting in her eternal home without pain and suffering, it is so sad she is no longer with all the folks who loved and cared for her. Rest in Peace, Brenda.
