Bret Ardin Wyant, 61, beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Born in Beaufort, SC, he was a son of the late Wesley Ardin Wyant and Janet Deneace Bliffin Wyant.

Bret’s kind and compassionate demeanor touched the lives of many around him. He received his bachelor of business degree from Winthrop University. A dedicated store manager, Bret was employed by CVS for 33 years. As a member of Edwards Road Baptist Church, he was a soft-spoken man of quiet strength and deep faith.

Throughout his life, Bret was a devoted family man. He is survived by his loving spouse of 40 years, Kathy Wyant; three children, Meghan Wyant Hann and her husband, Stephen, Emily Wyant Vaughn and her husband, Joseph, and Michael Wyant and his significant other, Kiana Kirkman; three cherished grandchildren; three siblings, Scott Wyant and his wife, Nicole of Summerville, SC, Wesley David Wyant of Beaufort, SC, and Dr. Cherry Jackson of Vestavia Hills, AL; and his step-mother, Alice Wyant of Beaufort, SC.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Dr. Kenneth Jackson.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 12:00 p.m. until 12:45 p.m. at Edwards Road Baptist Church followed by the funeral service at 1:00 p.m.
