Bruce Wayne Clarke, 65, of Greenville died Friday, September 5, 2008. Born in Parkersburg, WV, he was the son of Georgia Ross Clarke of Greenville and the late William B. Clarke. Mr. Clarke retired as a sales and service representative in the textile industry and was a member of St. Matthews Methodist Church. Surviving, in addition to his mother, is his fiancee, Terry Ballenger; a daughter, Rebecca Ballenger of Taylors; a sister Lisa Cline of Charlotte, NC; a brother, David and his wife Judy Clarke of Midiothian, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Courtney and Greg Cline; Carressa and Kirsten Clarke and Ariane Clarke-Hamm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Society of Greenville County, 113 Mills Avenue, Greenville, SC 29605; or Concerned Citizens for Animals CCA PO Box 1332, Simpsonville, SC 29681. The Memorial Service will be held on Monday, September 8, 2008, 12:00 p.m., at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown chapel. Visitation will be prior to the service at 11:00 a.m. The families will be at their respective homes.
