Carlyle Frank Dodd

Carlyle Frank Dodd, 81, of 855 Jullian Street, husband of Betty Jane Dodd, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2008. Born in Spartanburg, he was a son of the late Franklin Lafayette and Katie Dills Dodd. Mr. Dodd was retired Instrument Superintendant with International Paper Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was a United States Navy veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his loving wife of 61 years, are two daughters, Teressa Bailey, Patricia Gibson and her husband, Carl; a son, Kenny Dodd and Brenda Bowers; five grandchildren, Lisa Gibson, Carla Williams, David C. Dodd, Michelle Dodd and Nicole Dodd; eight great grandchildren, Kassidy, Austin, and Clay Williams, Carlyle Dodd, Aubrie Jones, Cody and Stephen Breeding and Cheyanne McGaha; a brother, Aurthur Patrick Dodd; and a sister, Jenny Stewart. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 16-A Brozzini Court, Greenville, SC 29615 or the American Heart Association, 3535 Pelham Road, Suite 101, Greenville, SC 29615. Visitation will be held Wednesday, December 3, 2008 from 12:00 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. in the mausoleum of Graceland East Memorial Park. The funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. in the mausoleum.
