Caroline Marie Hall, a gentle spirit who invested significantly in those she loved, passed away on February 2, 2024, at the age of 30. She was born on December 19, 1993, in Clinton, SC, and resided in Spartanburg. Caroline was the beloved daughter of Scott and Janine Hall and Stephanie Hall.

Caroline’s life was characterized by her accepting nature, embracing others just the way they were. Her thoughtful and proactive approach to life touched the hearts of all who knew her. She valued relationships deeply, cherishing the moments of deep conversation and connection with her loved ones.

Caroline’s spirit was truly infectious, as she radiated immense joy and understood the essence of true happiness. She found solace and beauty in nature, her love for flowers and plants reflecting her appreciation of the world around her. Her light-hearted nature brought a sense of playfulness to the seriousness of life, infusing every moment with laughter and warmth.

Although Caroline’s time on earth was cut short, her impact will forever be treasured by those fortunate enough to have known her. She leaves behind cherished memories and a lasting legacy of love and acceptance.

Those that are left behind to treasure her memory are her siblings, Andrew Hall (Trista), Josh Shuba (Rachael), Zach Shuba (Jean), Ben Shuba, Andrew Shuba (Courtney), and Raegan Lewis; grandparents, Susan and Mike Hughes and Ray and Joan Kershaw; great grandmother, Mary Hughes; her best friend, Emily Lide; and her beloved dog, Bruce.

Caroline was preceded in death by her beloved grandmother, Ann Loftis Hall.

The family would like to invite all who knew and loved Caroline to attend the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Southeast with a visitation to follow until 2:00 p.m.

Caroline Marie Hall will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those touched by her beautiful spirit. May her memory live on, bringing comfort and inspiration to those who carry her in their hearts.

My heart broke to see such a beautiful soul leaving this earth so soon. I’ll never forget going to vacation Bible school and having sleep overs together, but there is one memory I’ll Never forget! I believe we were in first grade, and Caroline came on a hike with my family and I. We were having the best time, when little Caroline decided to get ahead of us, just wondering along, exploring. We realized she was no longer near us and all broke into a panic, as a parent now, I can only imagine the feeling of loosing someone else’s child, especially on a hike. But after calling out for her and running ahead, she hadn’t gone far and we laughed and laughed about it afterwards. It’s a memory I will never forget. Along with her cute laugh, beautiful red hair, contagious smile and kind heart! My prayers go out to all her family and friends! My heart aches for each and everyone of you. Rest high sweet angel.

The first trip I took with Caroline was December 17, 2019, 2 days before her 26th birthday. She drove us up to Asheville and we had plans to get tattoos. When we found a place we already knew what we wanted. She got the butterfly on her ankle and I my barbed wire heart. She was adamant that it had to be perfect so much so that we went back inside after walking in the snow back to her car to get the last detail right. We went to dinner after at Mellow Mushroom and walked it off window shopping the thrift shops before going in one. she bought a winter coat that she just had to have and I took pictures of her in it.

Caroline loved being outside surrounded by greenery. I spent a lot of time with her during 2020 and made wonderful memories alongside her hiking, picking strawberries, going on friend dates, painting, and just being together. I think the sun shined brighter the first day I saw Caroline. She waved at me from the driveway across the street and I instantly knew that she was a special person. She had the kindest blue eyes I'd ever seen and a smile to match. Time spent with her was always filled with laughter and joy, and I know that many people shared the same experience. She used to poke fun at me for how much her dad and I would talk; so much that sometimes we'd forget she was in the room lol. I'd tell her that her parents did such a great job raising her that I needed to figure out what their secret was. Her family members are some of the most genuine and kind-hearted people I've met, so it's easy to see how she turned out that way as well. Anyone who knew her even a little bit was blessed to do so. Caroline was truly a light in everyone's life and will never be forgotten. I've learned over time that the grief we feel when losing a loved one doesn't ever shrink, instead we get stronger and grow around it. Losing someone like this hurts and it will always hurt, but my family and I are praying that everyone affected by this will find strength, comfort, and peace as the days go on.

My daughters went to school with and were in L.E.'s Youth Group with Caroline. She had been with us to supper/karaoke. She was beautiful from the inside out. A true shining light. So kind and loving. We've been heartbroken over her passing. May God help her entire family and close friends through this enormous loss. Just know she made a huge impact on the lives of others. 💔
