Carolyn “Kay” Aubele Smith

Carolyn “Kay” Aubele Smith, 74, wife of the late James Smith, of Greenville, was called home to be with the Lord on October 28, 2021.

Born in Akron, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert P. and Ilene Aubele.

Kay was strong in her faith and loved her Lord and Savior. She worked for Goodrich Tires in Akron, OH for 20+ years, was an Avon District Representative and Presidential Club member which she was very proud of and was an avid NASCAR fan. Jeff Gordon was her favorite driver. Kay moved to South Carolina in 2006. She enjoyed watching college football games with her “Sis” and let’s not forget how much she loved a good game of Sparkle!

Kay is survived by her sisters, nieces, great nieces, great nephews, and dear friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Kay was preceded in death by her brother, Robert C. Aubele.

A visitation will be held Thursday, November 4, 2021 from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Graceland East Mausoleum Chapel, 2206 Woodruff Road, Simpsonville, SC 29681 with the service to follow at 1:00 p.m.
