Carolyn Phaneuf Pangraze, RN, 66, of 111 Whippoorwill Drive, died Thursday, November 27, 2008. She was born in Manchester, NH, and the daughter of the late Camille and Beatrice Pelletier Phaneuf. Mrs. Pangraze was formerly from Auburn, NH and retired from the New Hampshire American Red Cross after 24 years. She was a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph's Girls School in Manchester, NH, received her Associates Degree from Concord Technical College in Concord, NH and was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Seneca, SC.
Carolyn was best known for her caring generosity and love of life. She enjoyed her grandchildren, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. She touched the hearts of all. Surviving are her husband of 47 years, Robert Frank Pangraze; two daughters, Jennifer Pangraze of Balitimore, MD, Melissa Pangraze-Schauster and her husband, Ed, of Driggs, ID; a son, David Pangraze and his wife, Kay, of Richmond, VA; and three grandchildren, Alex, Eric, and Drew Pangraze.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at 2:00 pm at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Greenville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Attn: Memorial Gift, 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, VA 23060.
The family will be at the residence.
