Catherine Hill Scruggs

Catherine Hill Scruggs, 85, died May 2, 2008. Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Maggie McCalister Hill, and wife of the late Allen Scruggs. She was a homemaker and loved her family very much. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church. Mrs. Scruggs is survived by three children and their spouses, Terry and Joanie Scruggs, Linda and Dewey Laws, and Michael and Kim Scruggs; six grandchildren, Terry, Ashley, Melissa, Andrew, Jennifer and Tristan; four great-grandchildren, Natalie, Will, Dylan and Allie; and one brother, Eugene Hill. A graveside service will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Tuesday, May 6, 2008, and 11:00 a.m. Friends are invited to pay their respects Monday evening, May 5th, from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown.
