Catherine Holland Simpson

Catherine ?Kay? Holland Simpson, 72, of 1560 Thorneblade Blvd., Apt. 324, widow of Daniel Joseph Simpson, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at St. Francis Hospital, Downtown. Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late William and Katherine Kennedy Holland. Mrs. Simpson was a homemaker and was a Catholic. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and David Stampfli of Greer; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Mark Alan Simpson of Portsmouth, VA., Major Scott Edward and Mary Simpson of Germany; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Carol and Roy Ford of Weston, FL., Gloria and Kent Pennell of Berganfield, N.J.; a brother, John Holland of Florida; and six grandchildren, Owens Simpson, Andrew Couch, Meghann Proctor, Lydia Simpson, Daniel Simpson and Timmy Simpson. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, 1817 Gadsden Street, Columbia, SC 29201. Funeral services will be held Friday, March 2, 2007 at Noon in the chapel of Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown with visitation to follow. The family will be at the home of her daughter, 5 Wildlife Trail, Greer.
