Cecil Nathaniel Patterson

Cecil Nathaniel Patterson, 82, of 127 Chipley Lane, husband of Rose Marie Gorman Patterson, died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at St. Francis, Downtown. Born in Iva, he was the son of the late Daniel Nathaniel and Annie Belle Sutherland Patterson. Mr. Patterson was retired from the US Postal Service and of the Methodist faith. He was a United States Army veteran having served during WWII. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are two daughters and sons-in-law, Jannette and Ricky Elliott of Powdersville, Nannette and Mark Harvell of Pelzer; a son and daughter-in-law, Richard Joe and Kristy Patterson of LaGrange, GA; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren; a sister, Edna "Bill" Saxon of Greenwood; and a brother, Robert Patterson, Jr. Memorials may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, 2700 White Horse Road, Greenville, SC 29611. Visitaion will be held Friday, March 7, 2008 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. A memorial service will follow at 12:00p.m. in the downtown chapel. The family will be at the residence.
