Cecil Shirley Hendricks

Cecil Shirley Hendricks, 90, husband of the late Sybil Tucker Hendricks, passed away Tuesday, January 11, 2022.

Born in Easley, SC, he was the son of the late Bunyan and Lillie Gilliland Hendricks.

Cecil was a member of Brandon Baptist Church. He was a long time football, basketball, and baseball referee for both high school and college teams. He loved to play golf and was known as a people person.

He is survived by his daughters, Debbie Owens of Pickens, Janet Emerson (Terry) of Greenville, and Susan Durham of Greenville; 6 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his three older sisters.

A public viewing will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest. The graveside service will be held Friday, January 21st at 11:00 a.m. in Greenville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brandon Baptist Church, 16 Calder St, Greenville, SC 29611.
