Mrs. Cecilia Stowe Poole, 84, of Rolling Green Village, died Friday, August 26, 2005 at her home. Born May 30, 1921 in Redfern NSW, Australia, Mrs. Poole was the widow of Lushion Norwood Poole, and the daughter of the late Reginald Bertram and Rebecca Cecelia Jackson Stowe. She was the former Miss Australia, 1941 ? 1943. She earned her fashion design degree from College of Fashion Design in Sydney, Australia. Mrs. Poole was a homemaker, enjoyed reading, and was of the Catholic faith. She is survived by Norwood and Cindy Poole of Charlotte, NC; Suzanne Cecelia Huffman of Greenville; Bill and Ann Poole, of Simpsonville, SC; Patricia and Rudy Fields of Townville, SC; and John and Robin Poole of Greer, SC; seven grandchildren, Hunter Huffman, Justin and Amber Poole, Will Poole, Olivia Poole, Taylor, and Nick Poole. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, August 29, 2005 at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Downtown. Visitation will be held from 3:30 ? 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family will be at their respective homes. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross, 940 Grove Road, Greenville, SC 29605.
