Chadwick Buford Metcalf, Sr

June 3, 1928 - November 2, 2008
Chadwick Buford Metcalf, Sr., 80, loving husband of Dorothy Coggins Metcalf for sixty years, died Sunday, November 2, 2008.
Born in North Carolina, he was a son of the late Jacob Carther and Etta Mae Allman Metcalf.
Mr. Metcalf was retired from Union Bleachery after thirty-five years of service, and a faithful member of Forestville Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife are daughters, Thelma and Mickey Carter, Margaret and Robert Register, Mary and Dallas Ogle, and Louella Wilson; two sons, Chadwick, Jr., Mitchell and Judy; a sister, Iris and Frank Gordan; twelve grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by four brothers and one sister.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 4, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, Northwest.
The funeral service will held at 1:30 pm on Wednesday, November 5, 2008, at Forestville Baptist Church, Greenville.
Burial will be in Forestville Baptist Church Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the Forestville Baptist Church 60's A Sunday School Class, 2 Old McElhaney Road, Greenville, SC 29617.
The family will be at the residence.
